Ikhlas (Sincerity) is the soul of all righteous deeds. Just as a body is lifeless without a soul, similarly, deeds without sincerity are worthless.

Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA):
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearances or wealth, rather He looks at your hearts and your deeds.“
