Jamia Tareequl Jannah
Jamia Tareeq ul Jannah is a distinguished Islamic institute dedicated to empowering women through quality religious education and comprehensive tarbiyyah, nurturing faith, knowledge, and character in today’s world.
Founded in 2011 by Alimah Asma Ahmed, the institute was established to provide women of all ages and backgrounds with accessible, high-quality religious and moral education. Under the esteemed supervision of Hamna Center, an Islamic institute founded by the well-known Alimah Tahira Yousaf, Jamia Tareeq ul Jannah continues to uphold its commitment to excellence in religious learning.
Since our founding, Jamia Tareeq ul Jannah has expanded from a single branch to multiple locations, with additional lessons conducted in affiliated homes, further extending our reach and impact.
Our mission is to equip each student with knowledge that enriches both their daily and professional lives. Committed to a well-rounded education, we also support our students in their academic pursuits. Today, our alumni continue to spread the message of Allah, carrying forward the values instilled at our institute.
About The Founder
Founder & Principal – Alimah Asma Ahmed
Asma Ahmed’s journey is one of passion, dedication, and a deep commitment to education. After earning a master’s degree in English Literature, a PGD(ELT), and a B.Ed., she began her teaching career at Jamia Ashrafia. However, her time at the Islamic institute sparked a personal desire to seek deeper religious knowledge. Determined to pursue this path, she enrolled in the renowned Dars-e-Nizami program and earned her degree from Wafaq-ul-Madaris. She then further specialized in Islamic studies by completing Takhassus (advanced specialization), deepening her understanding of religious scholarship.
During her studies, Ahmed recognized a significant gap – there were few institutes dedicated to providing women with quality religious education at an affordable cost, particularly for older women seeking to further their religious knowledge. This realization ignited her vision, leading to the establishment of Jamia Tareeq ul Jannah.
Since its founding, she has worked tirelessly to create a warm, nurturing, and encouraging environment for students. Under her leadership, the Jamia has grown from a single branch to three thriving locations, producing graduates who go on to serve their communities with knowledge and faith.
Through her unwavering dedication, Asma Ahmed continues to empower women with the education and spiritual guidance they need to thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
Message From Our Founder & Principal
Allah says in the Quran:
Say, are those who know equal to those who do not know? Only those with understanding take heed.” (Quran 39:9)
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave.”
The very first revelation, “Iqra” (Read), is a powerful testament to how much Allah values the pursuit and application of knowledge. It was this knowledge that distinguished Prophet Adam (A.S.) and led the angels to prostrate before him.
According to Asaar-e-Sahabah, it has been emphasized that “Action without knowledge leads to misguidance, and knowledge without action is a burden.” This highlights a crucial truth – without the guidance of sacred knowledge, self-devised practices can lead one away from the light of Shariah.
By the grace of Allah, we are blessed with institutions like Madaris and Masajid, which serve as fortresses of learning and faith. Jamia Tareeq ul Jannah was founded with this very vision – to uphold the Quranic and Prophetic teachings by providing accessible religious education. Our mission is to equip every student with beneficial knowledge while instilling a deep commitment to righteous action, ensuring they become valuable contributors to society.
At our institute, we align our teachings with the objectives of the Prophetic mission, preserving the essence of Islamic education. Islam did not spread by force, but rather through exemplary character, kindness, and heartfelt words. Even today, the best way to convey and strengthen the message of Islam is by embodying these noble qualities and following the Prophetic approach.
